River Rafting

Sabrina, Brogan, Braige and Howard are skipping rocks.

My brother Curtis and his wife Marja came for a visit. We wanted to find some new things to do while they are here so we decided to float down the river. It was a 4 hour trip floating or should I say rowing down the river. We stopped for lunch and then we were back at it. We really had a good time. We are getting our instructions on what NOT to do...

Curtis and Brogan. "Do you know where are shoes are"?

Summer and I are ready.
"Dang let's go."

"Dad, let's just smile and pretend we hear what they are saying."

"Hey Michelle, look at my so awesome tan and my so handsome husband."

See I was there too.. This is me.

"Christian, I said steer AWAY from the trees not into them."
"I'm trying Uncle Curtis."

"Together". "Together." " Now Row and Row."

"Summer, if you put the paddle IN the water you will go much faster."
"Be quiet Uncle Curtis, I'm getting my picture taken."

"Marja stop splashing me, how many times do I have to tell you?"
"You talk to me like that again Christian I'm throwing your butt in the cold water."

Okay, everyone take a break

"We make this look good!!"

"Hiram if you keep making that angry face then were not rowing anymore."
(We missed Adriana on this trip, she stayed so she wouldn't miss cheer leading practice, now that's dedication)

"Funner" the houseboat

We had such a great time at the houseboat. Our friends have a houseboat and they named it the "Funner". This name is so perfect because nowhere else could be more fun.

Our so awesome friends that invited us, Rich and Lori. Smile Rich.

Howard so handsome

Adriana looking beautiful even with her hair blowing in her face. Such a sweet girl.

on your mark.

What a little stud. No fear. Gets right up and does an instant 360.

Hmmmm. I'm not sure what Christian is doing in this picture.

Sabrina, you have got it going on.

Get set.

Go. Christian did try to spray her a couple of times. I think that was because she ran him over on the first run through.

Nothing like a chocolate cookie, the soft couch and some down time.

Great smiles and a lot of R & R...

Everyone is playing spoons. A fun card game with spoons. The kids have so much fun playing this game. I think Ty is a little frustrated with the slower pace we were going. By the look on Brett's face he must of saw Christian's cards.

Are there even words for this picture.

Curtis and Howard jumping off the top deck. Over and over and over again.

Sabrina and Ky sat in the very small baby pool on the top deck for awhile then Ky told Sabrina they had to warm up and dry off in the chairs.

Curtis and Sabrina on the knee boards.

The kids swam out to the tube tied to the houseboat .
Time to go. Boat clean up and then the drive back to the dock. Life with good friends is the best. Our friends are so great. Thanks again for an amazing day.

The moon on our way back. It seams to dance in the water.

Howard's All-Star Team

Howard made the all star team this year. He has improved so much. I can't believe what a great player he has turned out to be. Howard really enjoyed this season. The coaches were very patient and encouraging. You could tell the boys really believed in themselves. What a difference good coaches make.

Raingutter Regatta

The cubscouts do a boat race every year. It's similar to the pinewood derby but with boats. Curtis is blowing so hard I thought he might pass out. He wont give up, he doesn't want to loose.
Howard is giving it all he's got. Blow Howard.

This is just about all our cubscouts with a few little extras.
It is fun working with the 10 year old scouts. I have been doing this for over a year now. So far we have had 3 boys graduate each receiving their arrow of light.

Camping

Camping at Clarksfork was lots of fun. We have decided it's time to get back into camping. This is one of the first places we camped years ago with the Panions and we thought it would be a good start. There is a beautiful stream and great hiking.

Christian washing his hair. He wanted to do the shower scene from Australia where Hugh Jackson stands under the water half naked and showers. I said he should save that for another time

There are so many memories you take home with you after a campout. I'm sure we gave our camping neighbors some entertainment. We were loud. Hiram did all the cooking. He made bacon and eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast, oh and pancakes. You get so dirty but just enjoying each other without the tv or phone was really nice.
